Stallions at stud
Currently Dunn Western Horses offers two stallions for stud services.
All of our stallions have more or less limited monthly outside bookings until their performance days are over. When retired to full stud service limitations in bookings are more towards to the overall numbers than recent bookings. Once a stud has served twenty or so mares its retirement from stud services is very likely, if this haven't been done before for other reasons.

Contacting us with stud request
When contacting us about stud services send the form below to [email protected] with "DWH stud request" in subject line.
Stallion's name: Mare's name: Link to mare's profile/picture: Mare's breed: Mare's owner/stable (ES-account name): Can foal have cc markings: Accepting our stud policies: What led to this stud choice: Picture available on mare's profile or linked to must be clear picture of the whole mare. No all dark or stamp sized pictures, if you're looking for accepted request. For the mare's owner information, please use character/stable name and mention your possible ES-account name separately (like Dunn Western Horses (Dorms Dequine) for example). If you opt to cc markings being fine, you'll get listing of needed ones on delivery. Once your request is approved, remember to attach a .sim file of the mare to your mail! |

Some instructions to how to do things mentioned
HOW TO CREATE A .SIM FILE OF YOUR MARE
Bring the mare you're sending into CAS, click for more options beside her portrait and choose save sim. If everything went right your mare is now available in the premade sims selection of CAS. You can cancel CAS and quit game after this. For the created .sim file go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/SavedSims folder and look for file with your mare's (in game) name. Attach this .sim file to your stud request mail.
HOW TO GET THE FOAL INTO YOUR GAME
We will send you the foal of your mare and our stud as a .sim file. For the foal to show up in your game you'll first need to put this sent file into My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/SavedSims folder. Don't do this while game is running to avoid frustrating situations and make sure that the folder isn't open when you start up the game. When in game head to CAS to create a household or alternatively edit some random (wild) horse in CAS. Select to load a premade sim and scroll until you locate the foal, don't click any filters or the foal won't show up! Your unaware CAS subject should turn into the foal once you choose it from the premade sims. Now just give it a proper barn name (or go with what ever is your in game naming policy) and change mane/tail style to your liking and you're ready to accept the changes. Before this you might want to edit the foals official name to the bio too, since otherwise it will only list the place for the official name beside the information of sire, dam, color, breed & sex.
If you use Master Controller (+ cheats) and wish your mare to be considered as the dam by the game in family tree, select the foal and then go to Master Controller -> Advanced -> Family -> Add parent and add the mare as a parent to the foal.
SENDING PICTURES TO STALLION'S FOAL GALLERY
Sending us a few pictures of the offspring of our studs is much appreciated. Preferably we would love to get a few pictures of the horse as a foal and as an adult, which show to those interested how the offspring turns out. You may send about mid size (longer side 500-600px) pictures that have been edited or send some unedited ones (as high res as possible) that will be made suitable, i.e. "photo like", by us for the gallery. Send the pictures of your choice to [email protected] with something descriptive like "Foal pics to DWH" in subject line. The pictures can be attached or linked to, what ever suits you better. Please also mention who is the sire and the name of the offspring appearing in the pictures.
